International Center for Postgraduate Medical Education (ICPME), located in Ithaca, New York, is a medical education company that has provided certified continuing education to healthcare professionals for over 20 years.
In 2007, Tracy served as project manager for developing our website, www.icpme.us. ICPME had a failed attempt at creating a website with a local developer, and our need for a functional, user-friendly website that had the capability of housing a complex database was urgent. I had no experience with creating or using websites as an administrator and had no idea how to approach this project. Quite literally, “I didn’t know what I didn’t know.”
Tracy has a depth of knowledge about website functionality and database programming. She patiently guided me through the entire process, took the time to understand the needs of my business and customers, and helped me articulate not only my own expectations for the website but grasp what the website could do for ICPME beyond my basic expectations.
We launched www.icpme.us at the end of 2007 with 5 courses and 180 registered users. Today we have programmed over 590 courses and have a database of 56,500+ registered users! In 2017, our website processed over 35,000 course registrations and issued 16,329 Certificates of Credit. The ICPME website literally does the work of 2 full-time employees.
Most importantly, our website is unfailing. Since its launch in 2007 and through several major updates, we have experienced no downtime, no loss of data, and no disruption of service.
